The company I work for recently held a conference at the hotel at Alton Towers in Staffordshire. The hotel is very nicely styled and decorated, with this water feature in front:
There are lots of images of English gentry bringing back artifacts from around the world. The thing is, I find that a bit embarrassing. I remember walking round the British Museum when I worked in London and being amazed at what explorers had had the nerve to steal. Obviously, we won’t give it back now either!
