A funny series of connected things take place when you consider moving jobs, centered loosely on how you view the “worth” of the job you’re in.
“Worth” might be a matter of personal income, altruism, or something else entirely.
There’s certainly a period of reflection during which some aspects of the job seem less important than they normally do and that difference is important to you and the place you work.
If only we could strip out the unimportant stuff every day without the need to reach a point of departure before they are identified - how different would the workplace be?
