New Brighton Dog Walk

On Easter Monday we went with various “dog friends” to New Brighton for a dog walk.

Julia usually does these herself, but I went along this time with the camera. 250 photos later….

Really enjoyed the photography as all the dogs were so full of life and the sun shone brightly! Lovely!

All-age church services

On Saturday I went to an event looking at working with children and teenagers in church. In particular, how should they be integrated into Sunday worship.

Should we pack them off to age-appropriate classes or keep them in church with everyone else? One answer seems to be an all-age service, though it takes a gifted [...]

The Scale of the Universe

Everyone knows the universe is really big. The challenge is to try to grasp just how breath-takingly, mind-bogglingly huge it is.

The thing is, you can’t. Not even close.

However, here’s an amazing tool that will give you a teeny-weeny sense of the scale of the universe.

Beach walk

We went for a walk on the beach at Hoylake while it was still covered in snow and ice.

I was so glad I’d taken my camera - and that I’d spot-metered!

Time Lapse

In the Summer I had a go at some Time Lapse video stuff for our church’s summer camp. It was harder than expected because you’re not really in control while you’re filming and editing takes an age!

Here’s a pretty good example I saw recently:

Anyway, here’s my effort [...]

Updated photos

It’s been ages coming, but I finally tidied up my photos and added some new ones.

Look out for Matty’s jump at Tresaith!

A dream deferred

What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
like a raisin in the Sun?
Or -?
