In Make Poverty History I suggested that the dominant governments were actively unwilling to solve world poverty as it would ultimately make them less wealthy and powerful.
In The Sky is Falling I went on to say that the US government has already embarked on a plan to give mankind a lifeline in the face of the very real threat of annihilation from a comet impact, but that the plan will take many years and trillions of dollars to execute.
So, if you were a world leader what would you do? Make poverty history and put at risk your country’s economy and ultimate ability to protect mankind? Or do you maintain the status quo, fuelling your own economy so that you can build your deep space defence mechanism knowing that to do so you will cause innocent children to continue to die from preventable diseases, malnutrition, and starvation.
I suggest that our leaders are lying to us, offering up children as sacrificial lambs in the name of mankind.
But what would you do?
