Six Word Stories

I came across Six Word Stories via Twitter. It originates with a bet that Ernest Hemingway couldn’t write a complete story using just six words. He wrote:

For Sale: Baby shoes, never worn.

.

It’s clever because it encapsulates a sense of time and strong emotion.

SixWordStories.net is a place where people can submit their own, with the best being put on the home page.

Here are some of mine:

I’m hungry. All Papa’s crops failed.
He smoked. She choked. Both croaked.
Daddy’s shouting. Mummy’s crying. I’m scared.
Sunrise. Peace. Pain. She really left.
Dreams come true. I’ll walk again.
Guillotine accident. Concert career cut short.
Company bust. What will grandfather think?
